| Kurzbeschreibung | Basic principles: application of membrane processes; reverse osmosis; nanofiltration and LPRO; ultrafiltration; microfiltration; membrane bioreactors, dialysis; electro dialysis; other membrane techniques. Membrane production and characteristics: membrane requirements; different production technologies; membrane structure; ion exchange membranes. Membrane materials: characteristics and applications. Membrane configuration and membrane modules: stirring cell; plate-and-frame membrane module; spiral-wound module; tubular module; hollow fiber module. Membrane systems in practice: basic system design; pre- and post-treatment; examples for reverse osmosis and nanofiltration, ultrafiltration, microfiltration, dialysis and electro dialysis. Latest developments and trends. |
